Living with mental illness and addiction can at times be like living in a world without colour. It is a world where daily struggles reduce every day to black, white, or shades of grey and in which life’s most vivid moments exist primarily in the mind. With a splash of paint or the flash of a camera, Visual Arts allow those images to flow freely and without judgment from the mind to the canvas. The work created by Workman Arts Members working in Visual Arts is provocative, affecting and proof beyond all doubt that a picture truly is a worth a thousand words.
